John Edwards On The Hostile Takeover of Our Government

In the 11/15/07 CNN debate, John Edwards became the first presidential candidate to refer in explicit terms to the hostile takeover of our government that I describe in my 2006 New York Times bestseller. As an aside, I have not officially endorsed any candidate in the 2008 race, though I must say Edwards language shows he is really focusing on what I consider to be the central issue of our era. Whether it comes to Iraq or domestic economic policy, we are plagued by a government that has been the victim of a hostile takeover by Big Money interests.

It's going to take more than Obama's slogan of "Hope" if we are going to take our country back. John Edwards is the only one really willing to stand and fight for the middle class. Go Edwards!

Notice how Edwards didn't mention china. He voted for the WTO and so I have to wonder if this guy is serious about what he's saying here.

The four votes in our South Carolina home will go to John Edwards, keep the faith John, this primary is more important than any that has come before because Edwards is the only perosn in the race that can WIN a southern state and not lose the majority in both chambers of congress! Remember '94? Even if Clinto does get lucky enough to win in 11/08 we will lose big time in 2010! EDWARDS FOR PRESDIENT=DEMOCRATIC VICTORY IN 2008 AND 2010!

He would be a great president. But time is running out. I wish Sirota, Michael Moore, and other progressive bigwigs wwould have got behind him some time ago. Now we've got a fractured three way race with Edwards and Obama both bleeding off the anti-Hillary vote, essentially splitting it. Would have been nice if someone like Moore would have got behind Edwards months ago. As it is, the only way to stop the nightmare Clinton candidacy is for either Edwards or Obama to drop out- and soon.
