  • I love the little scoops by the lead trumpet at 0:55 !

  • @dallas1963 you need to stop being offended on behalf of other people....there are too many people like you out there...Eric absolutely adored MF...even has a MF tribute CD...he plays Maynard songs everywhere he goes for chrissakes!!....he obviously was not offended and he certainly does not need you to be offended for him!

  • @F3582 ..I really have no idea wha you are getting at...why would the mere mention of the city of Hiroshima cause you to take the curious leap to WWII and the atomic bomb?...here is an analogy for you...suppose Maynard had a band member from New York City and referred to him as "Mr. New York", is that tasteless as well?.. following your line of thinking, it would!..after all, a horrific event occurred in NYC on 9/11/01.

MF used "Hiroshima" since it has a similar sound to Miyashiro

  • this is arguably the best recording i've ever heard from eric miyashiro, props to him!!

  • @F3582 I have no personal connection to the atomic bombing (though why should that be relevant?), and no, I don't think you're a bad person, I don't think MF was for saying that either. There's a world of difference between Fukushima and Hiroshima, but that's another issue. It's not a racist comment, so the analogy about Jewish jokes isn't relevant. I just think it's a bit tasteless, that's all; like I said, it seems a strange way to compliment someone by reference to a horrific event.

  • @eAcetaldehyd No, probably just a freudian slip. Are you involved in anything of those incidents, like, having Japanese ancestors that died there? Why do you think Japanese people would be offended by this? I've heard people call him Eric Fukushima this spring and I laughed hard. Am I a bad person, now? Always remember that the most offensive jokes about jews are created by jews.

  • Who is the Tenor Sax player? Anyone know?
