Unboxing the Alienware Area-51

I got my first Alienware Area 51 system today, and its a screamer. 12GB memory, 1.5GB NVidia GTX480, Intel 980x 6 Core processor, water coolin sysem. This system should allow me to do the animations and scenery i always wanted to do. it takes SOOO much processing Power, systems are finally coming down enough for the average person to buy them. Quite Happy with this system. now to put it thrrus its paces.

My computer I got for Christmas has an i3 dual core @3.3GHz, but I did the task manager thing to see the performance tab, and it has 4 of those core things, and your old computer had the same and you said quad, does this mean Argos were lying and I have a quad core?!

@coolcar100 what you have is a 2 core, 4 thread, which splits the 2 cores into 4 so you SOME WHAT have a quad core, but not exactly, what did Argos tell you, you had?

Hey im looking to buy a computer that will work as a non hardcore gaming computer but also as a computer for other tasks like school work and other stuff similar to that. Is this my best bet?

@RodG1300 this is primarily built to be a gaming system, how ever this model was discontinued, they make two smaller units now a days
