  • Some folks in the study were in 100% oxygen and some were "merely" pressurized. They were stroke victims. Much, I'm sure, to the Canadian health program's dismay, both made significant improvement over what would have otherwise been expected.

  • My husband breathes 100% oxygen while he's in the chamber which is about 95% as effective as a 100% oxygen environment and in the size chamber we have, 4 foot diameter, there is no risk of oxygen levels reaching fire danger levels. Even without breathing 100% - just being in a pressurized environment - produces positive effects as the Canandian government proved in a double blind study, hoping it would disprove HBOT for socialized medicine.

  • Btw, the chamber wasn't cheap - it took all the money we would have spent on long term care insurance. My husband's neurologist, having seen the incredible improvement in my husband's 40 sessions in 100% oxygen in a local clinic, wrote us a prescription for the chamber and ongoing prescriptions for the oxygen my husband breathes through a mask in a chamber. 100% oxygen at home is NOT something I would recommend. 100% oxygen is a fire danger.

  • Papatoony, believe it. It worked SO well on my husband in 2005 after his 3rd major closed head injury ("mild" injury) that when we had an opportunity to buy a chamber in 2007 we did. We bought that instead of long term health insurance. We have seen people who have had their lives given back to them.

I literally think it is criminal that this is not a regular AMA treatment and that insurance doesn't cover it. Criminal.

  • @papatoony The best way to find out if its true or not is to try it first hand.

  • I want to believe this stuff, but this seems like an infomercial to me!
