Indeed, Christ came to FULFILL the Law! And He absolutely fulfilled the ENTIRE Law: Civil, Ceremonial, and The Ten Commandments. How did he accomplish this?  He was sinless. 1 Cr 15:56 - The Sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. From this scripture we see that where there is no sin, the law is of no effect, or simply, has been put to rest. Indeed, it has been put to rest in Christ Jesus when (on the cross) he condemned sin in the flesh once and for all! IT IS FINISHED!

Yes! This is Truth! As a result of my studies, I have discovered most of what our brother in Christ has said. I've recently come to know who I truly am in Christ Jesus! I am indeed a joint heir with Christ. He came to give freely of His life which is Grace personified. Tithing causes christians to fall from Grace by which as believers we have the righteousness of Christ to a place of self-righteousness and pride relying upon our works (paying tithes) to get blessings from God.

This man is dead wrong. First of all you have to know about kingdoms and its obvious that he doesnt have a clue. Jesus said repent for the kingdom of God is near. That let you know heaven is a country. Jesus said give Ceasur what is Ceacur and God what is God. Tithes is taxes you have to pay taxes in heaven and on earth read malicah 3:10 God did say he didn't come to change.the law.

@JesusLuvsU75 Your pastor is dead wrong, period. If we are supposed to tithe why are we not required to follow the rest of the law? Tithing was clearly a part of the law in the Old Testament. Jesus said if you break one part of the law you have broken it all, in other words if you are going to follow on e part of the law you have to follow it all, you can just pick and choose what part will follow.

My pastor says I am robbing God if we don't give him 10% of all the money I receive like income, inheritance, gifts. Even little children have to give 10% of their birthday money.

@76Cthompson: Jesus completed ALL things pertaining to the law with His death burial and resurrection. He was the only person capable of fulfilling all 613 ordinances of the old testament covenant perfectly, and then He established a brand New Covenant. That's why we don't bring animals to church in order to slay them and then sacrifice them on blazing hot altars.....and it's the same reason we don't tithe.

@76Cthompson: God commanded Israel to tithe FOOD ITEMS not money! The fact that we even talk about tithing in terms of money shows how great the satanic deception is! Also you neglected to finish the complete thought where Jesus stated that He did not come to do away with the law. [Matthew 5:18--For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until ALL THINGS ARE COMPLETED.].

@76Cthompson: You make some good points but the sins you are mentioned are repeated over again in the new testament. There were 613 laws in the old testament including not eating pork & animal sacrifices. I don't know too many people who bring lambs & goats to church in order to sacrifice them on hot flaming altars. Under the new testament covenant we are no more required to tithe than we are to make animals sacrifices. NO WHERE in the Bible did God command anyone to tithe money.
