If you said two African American people couldn't marry.

If you said two Libertarian's couldn't marry.

1. idk if anyone can be born gay maybe its something that they developed since they were young and it became a part of them that they find hard to change im just saying

2.i dont understand why this gay marriage thing is even a big deal right now u will still be gay either way its not stopping u from being gay just cause opposite genders get married doesnt mean same genders have to also it just doesnt make sense to me that gay people want to be like striaght couples whats next after marriage ?

I understand the frustration but the use of the term 'i don't understand' or 'help me understand' is faulty - and yes you did mention it.

Sadly such straightforward logic is lost on a lot of people. You must have an incredible ability to tolerate opposing criticism. I certainly cannot handle it. I spent maybe 4 messages going back and forth with a person once and just gave up. I'm a wuss [is that word derogatory? Anyway...] fine, whatever - can't tolerate people who aren't pro equality.

Santorum (yes that idiot) is infamous for this crap. He'll say some sort of ridiculous nonsense like how he can't perceive how a group of various sexed adult humans couldn't all get married. Two people who are legally able to marry should be able to get married! That's it.

To answer your specific question if you think the litmus has to end at 'god' it won't - they will say something like 'institution of marriage' is under attack. Ugh ugh ugh. So freaking angry.

Im the same way, I dont understand why people wanna ban gay marriage, if I can marry a woman I LOVE then they have the rights as well, and if people use religion as an excuse, that doesnt explain anything why gay marriage is wrong, and plus at the end of the day ALL religion is man made, my mom says "if they have no legitmate reasons, no logical reasons why gay marriage is wrong then its not wrong"...Im pro-LGBT and proud avid supporter.
