@bluesmann8 Nice try, but the promise says God will "never" again curse the ground for man's sake even though the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. The emphasis is not on the element God used to destroy all life, but on the action itself. He is saying he will never again destroy all living from the earth. So, can strike a match to that and burn the world up. The next verse shows day and night would not cease.

some of this doesnt jive with scriptures that teach heavens and earth shall pass away. the earth waxes old as doth a garment. this earth is being rapped by mankind. the Lord with restore it . 'a new heaven and a new earth" right?

@ChristianIce There was a rebel who showed up after the flood. One bad egg spoils a bunch.

Genesis 9:8 and Genesis 9:12 WITH A FLOOD YOU DOOFUS! Preterists STEAL HOPE!
Preterist response: It is fulfilled hope!
Preterists like you not only DESTROY HOPE but in their STUPIDITY they basically state God is EVIL! Is it any wonder why I HATE preterists?!?

Thank you, Mr. Bell.

So accurate you are Mr. Bill. (he he). In fact...here is added supporting texts to sure up the foundation of truth that the context ALWAYS refers to the destruction of a nation rather than a total "global" destruction. Here are those supporting verses with regard to Israel as a Nation / World: >Daniel 12:1; “..and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was A NATION; Matthew 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world,,

LOL, so you believe in a asshole, a mass murderer, a creator that have to fix his mistakes by killing his creation ... good for you!
You probably think that the universe is 6.000 yrs old, and I guess you have evidence of that also .. right?
That's impressive, really, thanks for opening my eyes!!
hahahahhahahahaha

@ChristianIce I dont think that any sane person could believe that God didnt destroy the earth via flood. Ignoring the fossil record, whale skeletons on top of mountains in New Hampshire, the mid-oceanic ridges the separated continents...etc. You are not questioning "your" beliefs and dont understand 'simple' mathematics that "ONLY" a supernatural being could created a material universe. Elementray my dear Fred Flintstone. smh...
Megan, you've got to read the time statements along with the prophetic event. These are time prophecies. Read Matt. 24:34-35, and notice the time statements, "this generation shall not pass" Yes, heaven and earth would pass but within that first century generation. If those words were not there, I would agree with you, but you can't read the Bible and pretend they are not there.

I don't think any sane person could believe that a supernatural being killed all humanity with a flood.
Either you don't question your beliefs or you think your god is far from being omnipotent, cause I can think a million of other ways to fix that given situation without "filling a planet with water" .. to fix a problem that god is responable of in first place.

@ChristianIce Sounds to me like you should be giving this advice to God, not to me. If you have a problem with how he does things or His inefficiency perhaps you could give him some pointers. God works through men. He could post his own youtube videos if he wanted to but he leaves that to us. So, shouldn't you be condemning that too?
