Since making this video, my view of the Bible has changed quite a bit. For more info, see my homepage. Also, check out my other channel: www.youtube.com/AfricansArise

  • When this is true, then why did Jesus say "the law and the prophets were proclaimed until John"? What was finished at the cross? Why would we need a levitical priesthood, if the blood sacrifices are being replaced by the blood of Jesus? Why did none of the apostles mention any sacrifice to be made. Is it all one big lie then? Do the Jews even know who would be a levite today? It could be re-established when Christ returns, but it is definately done away with now!

  • Whatever finished at the cross, it wasn't the Levite priesthood! All the priestly work continued for four more decades afterwards. All the believers in Yahoshua who were zealous for Torah continued to go up to the Temple and ofer the necessary offerings right up til AD70.

Yah knows who His people are - including the Levites, the priests, etc.

  • The Levitical priesthood has NOT been changed or done away with!! That is obvious from Scripture -both TaNaK & B'rit Hadashah. However, the issue with which this video should have dealt is this.

The original text of Hebrews (i.e. in the Hebrew language) has been distorted and its meaning lost by translation to Greek/English, as is tragically the case with many passages of the "NT". For unfortunately we lack many books as originally written in Hebrew and the historical/linguistic context thereof.

  • In reading back over your posts, I now see think we do agree. I am sorry for being so quick to judge you as an antinomian christian. Agree wholeheartedly that without the Spirit, one cannot understand the law nor can one "properly" perform it to the Father's satisfaction or the Son's glory.

  • Shabbat shalom.

  • Faith without works is dead. Obedience and a child like confidence in your Heavenly Father gives you the blessings and the glory, but it all starts with faith in what God says is true, and faith in His promises, so you can make your way prosperous and have good success. I think we agree, we just phrase it a little different. Shabbat Shalom

  • Your preaching to the choir brother. God's law teaches salvation is by faith alone. No where does scripture teach salvation by works. Those who truly love the Father will obey His law (1John 2:3). Those who respect the law-giver (Jesus) keep His law. Those who live their parents listen heed their instuctions. So simple that every small child understands the principle. Ever wonder why Jesus said we must be like children in our faith?

  • The thing is, when you think your justification comes from keeping the law, then you will also be judged by the law. We are justified by faith in Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit, lived out through obedience, trust and confidence that God will provide and give you the promised land. God gets all the glory, because the strength and the wisdom through the Holy Spirit still comes from Him. When you make God your source then he will take care of your resources. HalleluYah!!!

  • I had assumed that you do not keep His Sabbath and that you enjoy eating pork... Sorry, most Christians resist God's commandments such as this. Good to know you too take His word seriously.

  • How do yo know, if I resist His laws? I delight in His commandments, because they are not burdensome and made for our protection and well being, and there is also blessing on keeping them, so you can be a blessing to others.

You mistake revelation knowledge with reading His Word and using your brain, but anybody can do that. It takes the Holy Spirit to reveal the Word behind God's Word. It also takes the Holy Spirit to reveal God's will for your life, to yield fruit 30, 60, 100fold.

  • I do get it. It is the Holy Spirit who revealed to me that God's law, "EVERY WORD" (as Jesus said of the law) is good for mankind. Still think it is very strange that you claim to love the Father yet resist keeping His laws.

  • You don't get the Holy Spirit by just keeping the law. You get the Holy Spirit by faith in the blood of Jesus. This unconditional love imparted inside of you, enables you to love what is not lovely. To go the extra mile, to turn the other cheek, give it all up for a greater purpose and abide in His love. That's what following Jesus means.

By the way I love the law, but I see where some physical things in it became spiritual, and that takes understanding, and is revealed by the Holy Spirit.
