Introducing the ElliptiGO 8S - the world's first outdoor elliptical bicycle. The ElliptiGO line of elliptical bikes provide low-impact alternatives to outdoor running that maintains the core running experience without the damage to the body. Great cross-training for healthy runners who want to put in more miles without more pounding, former runners who had to quit running because of injury, and for exercise enthusiasts who want to get out of the gym.

"what's wrong with runing" well for starters it destroys your joints and lower back which has an effect over your entire body.

I'm a runner too but bike riding is way heathlier...Period

Haha I know we're calm but sometimes I get myself going for no apparent reason. Some good road rash in the TDF so far this year though... Save it for sport--that's right. Best of luck with everything!

Funny....we're talking calmly about running and you are worried about 'getting heated'. I run about 30 km per week and ride MTB about 100 per week. Road rash can occur in both sports. nice try..........don't get heated. save it for sport

Right, kinetic chain. Got it. I don't think I said it was good for your joints, but thanks for the assumption; and I am referring to legitimate running of 50-70 mpw. Everyone will break down over time (regardless of sport) and it just becomes a game of restoring the balance through nutrition, cryotherapy, etc. Lastly, there are still plenty of injuries associated with cycling (handlebar palsy or road rash anyone?). This is my last response, I don't want to get myself heated lol. Peace out!

OK, if you think that running is good for your feet and knees than run away. In my experience, running (not mild jogging here and there) alot causes problems in ones feet. Foot problems lead to other problems right up to the lower back. But....everyone is different and in different physical condition. So problems associated with running vary. Running is constant impact against ones joints and bones ....biking is not. Both are cardiovascular exercises. whatever

Nice try, but that's not really true. If you suffer some sort of knee injury (particularly meniscal), yeah you'll screw yourself up over time. Low back problems? Work on the core and loosen the hip flexors. And for the sake of humanity, don't do intensive training in Vibrams.
