顧正秋《鎖麟囊．春秋亭》I

民國七十三年六月十日、十一日，顧正秋與國軍國劇隊聯合義演《鎖麟囊》與《鳳還巢》。

《鎖麟囊》本為翁偶虹一九三零年為程硯秋所作，是經典的程派戲碼。根據顧正秋的回憶錄《休戀逝水》記載，顧正秋當年就讀於上海劇校時，是由程硯秋的好友吳琴富教導《鎖麟囊­》，顧正秋本身也很喜歡《鎖麟囊》。然而顧正秋之後並沒有拜程硯秋為師，而是向梅蘭芳學戲。因此，顧正秋演出的《鎖麟囊》扮相雍容，「程腔梅唱」，如行雲流水，獨樹一格，­與現今大陸演員演的《鎖麟囊》中幽婉的唱腔有很大的不同。

除了將梅派風格融入程派戲碼之外，顧正秋來台演出後遭遇不少人生巨變（大陸淪陷，與母親分隔兩岸、丈夫任顯群被捕入獄），演出《鎖麟囊》時想必又是一番點滴在心頭。她自己­在她的回憶錄《休戀逝水》中寫道： 那段以淚洗面的日子，我很少出門，活在回憶之中：回憶顯群，也回憶我所受的戲劇訓練與戲劇人物。回想最多的則是《鎖麟囊》的薛湘靈，她本是一個富家千金，結婚之後卻因一場­洪水家破人散，自己竟流落到她昔日幫助過的照守貞家中為奴......人世無常，莫此為甚。我初演這出程派名劇時只有十六歲，很難體會薛湘靈的滄桑。經歷過顯群被捕入獄的­劇變後，我對世事幻變有了更深刻的體會......一九五三年退休迄今，我應邀義演二十多次，唱過劇碼也有二十多齣，只有《鎖麟囊》唱了八次。每次唱這齣戲，真的是「滲透­了酸辛處淚濕衣襟」啊！

This is my personal opinion. I think in term of voice and manners Lee Shen-suh now is much superior. I was to young to understand opera when Ku was on stage

I think her immitation of Mei LF's singing is most outstanding. She is definitely one of MLF's best pupil.

Also, compare Ku with Chang Huo-ding and Tzu shaw-chiou, the latter seem yo have more ban's and yen's and more orthodxy! Chinese opera in Taiwan also suffered during the period.

If you listen carefully, the Mandarin spoken here by the lung-tau's all had Taiwanese accent. Did the Memoir mention her husband's legal problem?

After a period of absence in which the legal problem was taken care of, Ku reappeared and appeared melancholy most time. I am pretty sure her husband was jailed for a while. This was many years ago. I think she started her career with "Hai-Kwon" opera club (The Navy's opera club and later on moved to Taipei.She was Taiwan's number-one chin-yee!

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Her husband was in some legal trouble and they went to seek some help from a high-level government official, a relative of mine. So I knew something. Ku did leave the stage for some time, if you remember!

You meant that ex-president, Chiang, fell in love with her. And Chiang put her husband into prison after she refused Chiang? :) Come on. She stopped singing because of that. And she became active on the stage after Chiang's death in 1989. Wasted talent.

Ku was hot in Taiwan; then her husband got into some legal problem and they slowly faded away! What a shame. Any one remembers this?
