  • Can we visualize the words in our minds?

  • You really should not try to do this, rather, attempt to clear the mind of any images.

  • @rock100010000 I'll tell you one of the biggest keys for lucid dreaming. Every night when you lay down to go to sleep, tell yourself out loud, tonight I'm going to lucid dream, I am going to be aware of the fact that I am dreaming. Really confirm this in your mind. It seems to help me alot.

  • Thanks

  • i am training myself to lucid dream

  • yea

  • @punkysexer You posted this 3 years ago, but felt like I needed to comment on it. Easwaran's website does not cost you a thing to visit. In fact, it has a lot of free material on there that will give you all the necessary tools you need to begin meditation, including all chapters of easwaran's book "meditation"

  • i like how he says that yoga phrase and then he says "which SIMPLY means..." and then he starts saying words i have no clue mean. great video by the way

  • if it helps me concentrate i'll do it in the middle of my math exam!!

  • So well said, so positive, so easily understood. Very complete. Bravo!

  • So all u do is sit straight and breathe slowly?

  • I did passage meditation for years; followed Easwaran's eight-point program religiously. It made me a relatively calm and relatively decent person, which is as much as you can hope to get out of a mind trying to force itself into stillness. But this has nothing to do with enlightenment, nothing to do with clear seeing. I found it unsatisfactory. I recommend checking out the teachings on Advaita/nonduality, especially Nisargadatta Maharaj.
