Being both an ectomorph and a hard gainer i felt tired of my seeing my thin looking phsyique in the mirror. A while back I used to be 65kg (143lbs) at 6'2" which isn't very good, not good at all. Started training at home and manage to go up to 71kg in a few months which i was happy with.

After that i didn't train for over a year due to being at uni and managed to maintain my weight but i still felt too lanky. So i began to do research and develop a somewhat solid understanding of muscle building and appropriate diets, workout systems and a diet that works for an ectomorph. Using what i found, i was able to get upto 81kg (178lbs) in about 4 months which i think is pretty good. So i guess i thought i'd make a vid of my progress so far to inspire those ectomorphs and hardgainers out there that need a little extra motivation, Keep up the good work.

  • Iam getting tired of so many people calling themself "Hardgainer", man looks like you got the afro genes in you body that faster your muscle metobolism. I have worked my ass of and had a great diet so far (5 months) and even I have not gained 3 inch bigger arm or bulked up. Like Scooby (youtube) says that building up muscle takes time. Nice progress man! ^^

  • @adlemoss I agree, building actual muscle is a slow process. At the time, I got alot of begginer gains + the usual increase in glycogen so i gained alot of weight quite quickly. And I was following a 'bulking' style of diet so my body fat did increase a little so it all adds up. These days my gains are slower and steady, and thats what it's all about, keeping focused, dedicated and consistent. A few pounds of actual muscle in the right places does wonders for ones frame. Keep up the hard work!

  • well done - but did you train legs??

  • @MrRyan200 Yup, I worked legs pretty hard. Especially with squats and stiff-legged dead lifts. I neglected my calves though.

  • It´s funny that so many people claim they are hard gainers. Gaining muscles is hard for everyone!

  • Yeah black people have different muscle fibers stimulated while performing weight training.

  • @alwaysanthony wait im black, r genes on my side?........lol

  • Ectomorphs always look the best after putting on muscle

  • @voodoochild234 Yes it is, but it is still a hell of a lot harder for ectomorphs

  • I'm asian, auto hard-gainer T_T

  • @voodoochild234 nope, slightly true but not tryin to be arrogant or nothin but do some studies my friend, there are 3 types of bodies, tall, lanky, boney Ectomorphs they burn fat quickly but gain muscle very very slowly and must eat alot, and then your average joe healthy living medium-tall height Mesomorphs who eat ahealthy diet and stay fit, and then theres the endomorphs large boned "fat" looking people who can gain muscle quick but still have a hard time burning fat,
