Oxford Folk Festival - Sunday 22nd March 2009

"Morris Mania.

The Castle and Oxford city centre will again be inundated over the weekend by around 40 dance sides, organised by Mason's Apron - a traditional Northwest Morris side from Long Hanborough in West Oxfordshire, who dance with sticks and garlands. For more information visit http://www.masonsapron.org.uk/ Mason's Apron and 5 other sides will be dancing on both Saturday and Sunday: Buttercross Belles, Pecsaetan, Sarum, Bare Bones and Boggarts Breakfast.


Sunday dancers: Abingdon Traditional Morris, Icknield Way, Jabberwocky, Mr Hemmings, OBJ, Old Speckled Hen, Fox's Morris and Shinfield Shambles. Also, Mabel Gubbins will be dancing round the pubs, and Stony Steppers and Alvechurch around the city over the weekend."
