Treachery93, that may have to do with form and proper ways of holding the guitar. Watch Chris Broderick, he was instructed correctly early-on in his training. It goes a long way.
Lynch is God on guitar! No question. He one of my main influences. I've followed is guitar playing since the early Dokken. HOWEVER- his playing style as of late has been too "exotic" to the point of playing off key. Also, i noticed that Lynch is showing signs of sloppiness like most of the aging Guitar Gods, probably because of age. He's still one of the greats by any standard, though.
Unfortunate that most guitarists in today's rock bands that you hear on the radio can't play lead worth sh*t.

Lynch and van halen came up competing with each other.
Though the timeframe was the same, they definately diverged pretty early on.

Holy Crap... he sounds like EVH during the 1984 tour!
Check out any boot's you can of that VH Tour and you'll hear what I mean... sounds like Eddie doing Clapton.
