  • And why is that?

  • sometimes I just scratch my head as to why some people judge a car by its "straight line" performance and neglect the others. GT-R vs 599, ok.... A 6.0 liter V-12 versus a Twin Turbo 3.8 TT. It's already like a dead give away. The 599 will really win BUT to put everything in one package that is "affordable". I think the GT-R wins hands down. Why would Ferrari offer a "HGTE" package to the 599 if it handles well on the base 599? Don't ger me wrong, I'll choose a Ferrari over the GT-R anytime

  • @evosaiz or maybe the gtr is crap in comparison to the 599 in every way including performance

  • Now race 'em again...in the rain.

  • @evosaiz i ask the same the ferrari cost 3 or 4 times the price of the gtr i think you are getting abit for your monye

  • @Kamukix That is correct. Manual cars will always be around.

  • @themisiek2 the Ferrari 458, Mercedes SLR, and 599 GTO are the same style gearbox as the GTR...does that mean the samething about them? The gearbox doesn't change how much skill it takes to drive a car fast, if you're a fool behind the wheel it simply will not handle well or fast period.

Manual is a lot more fun yes, but it does not suddenly make a car garbage. Sadly it is going more and more toward DSG boxes...will you stop driving because there are "no good cars"......

  • @NDASKY18 while I understand what you're partly trying to say you're saying it very wrong. The engine size is not a dead give away to a loss...else the Twin Turbo 2.9L Ferrari F40 would lose badly to both cars...which is far from the truth. As for the HGTE it's the same as the Spec-V package, both cars were already great...they just wanted to offer a little something extra.

No need to say one car is better or worse than the other, it's two cars racing that's all. Just enjoy both. :)

  • Let me also say stop bringing up price. That argument is a tired shitty argument. A argument that should be left up to the car manufactures for commercials and other forms of marketing. the GTR is nearly a 100k car for a nissan. While I love the gtr I am sorry it is not some sort of economical bargain for most. I would say for the majority of those who can afford GTR could easily afford to buy the exotics that its so much more affordable then, and still not complain about the price.

  • considering the 599 is the most powerful Ferrari made to date im not suprised with the outcome. GTR and these cars are comparable thats why Nissan made the gtr. But disregarding just straight line performance the 599 would in all probability beat a stock GTR on a track as well. those who say V12 vs 3.8TT that its a dead giveaway. How is it so? V12 somehow give the win over a big V6 with TWO turbo's. I believe in most cases you will find tghe FI car usualy ends up winning just not in this case.

  • Its common when ricers loose to talk about "Price" well.... yeah when you cant win a real race i guess thats your only win..........

Even though a Nissan GTR is hardly a "daily Driver" kids talk about price haha......

    fail.

    BTW automatic = pussy.

  • @5999cc

i never said it was from Nissan.

but are there any upgrade kits for the 599 right now?

    i wonder why....
