I had the biggest grin when I recognized the opening; Massive Attack's Splitting The Atom. What David Milch does for my eyes with television, Massive Attack does for my ears. Just goddamn this show is going to be incredible.

This is actually one of the only HBO openings that I don't like. I actually think it's garbage. Good show though.

@MrConservative95 Don't be impatient with it. The acting is great and Dustin makes a fine gangster, imo. I did watch the first episode multiple times before the series started. By the time ep 2 came along, I was hooked. Horse racing is its own world with its own lingo, etc., so I needed some education to get the hang of what was going on. Just my opinion, of course.

@TouchMeTherePlease LOL I know what you mean. I just re-watch the episodes until I get everything. Of course, it would help if I knew something about the horseracing industry. But I'm learning. Great show. Some of the finest acting on television.

@ElectrikJC John Ortiz (the successful trainer) is 1:05, brilliant Kevin Dunn (in the wheel chair) is 1:16 and great Nick Nolte (the older owner/trainer) is 1:01 .
