Survivors of the Virginia Tech massacre, and VT students and faculty, rallied for a gun-free campus on November 17, 2011. On that day, the Libertarians at Virginia Tech and the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL)—a radical pro-gun group that seeks the elimination of all firearm regulations, including background checks on gun buyers—were on campus calling for legislation to force VT to allow the carrying of loaded guns in university classrooms and dormitories. This video captures some of the debate that ensued between the two sides.
