I use him, because the steel lariat has a good juggle time for air combos and air supers, and it eats mag,storm air dash rush combo up, you just can't get hit when bring you him out, and you have to protect his legs with beams.

If you go into the selecton screen and start on Ruby Heart and then trace Akuma's back symbol on the selection screen, you will unlock Mecha Akuma.

Yep.. on character screen.. press up, down, left, right, left, right, right, up, right, right, up, down, start x
(this gives you invincibility and easy infinite combos.)
