  • Thanks for the video! Can any Windows platform DAW / softwares do the same task? If yes, which DAW / software?

  • @smithfarnell yes I do believe you can do this in a windows based DAW. Look for plugins or effects (FX) that say pitch shift or tune. Although when you tune a sample it also may speed up or slow down the sample. Using a combination of tune and pitch shift may allow you to time stretch a sample.

  • Sorry for my english.. but if we go on the exs24.. and we increase the tone.. is it not the same thing of the pitch??

  • @luckystyle89 on the surface of exs24 it has the tune. when you adjust the tune, it not only changes the pitch but also the tempo. this method allows you to change the pitch of a sample without changing the tempo.

  • yo mayne cheers for the vid. one problem, when i try and play the copies its completley silent, it does doesnt play any copies i make do you know a way around this?

  • There is another way I just worked out:

In the EXS24's Edit window (as seen at 0:35), click the little down pointing triangle next to the name of the sample and select Open In Sample Editor.

In the Sample Editor window, go to Factory-->Time and Pitch Machine, set the amount of cents you want to transpose by (100cents=1 semitone), Process and you're done.

HOWEVER this is destructive editing. If you want to undo you will need to reload the unprocessed sample (unless you undo immediately)

  • Wow, is this the easiest way to pitch shift in logic? I'm gonna check out pro tools.

  • @dyc1000 I understand!! XD now a try to pitch my sample... thanks so much man
