@BrissoParrothead agreed. love claptons work but his playing in here it sounded like someone dubbing two different songs together

Yeeah here comes Jonny singing Lay Down Sally, boogie boogie baby!!

None of the thousands in attendance seemed to complain. EC was cool.

@blogdelsapo no problem and yea I wouldn't know about that never played before thing haha you'll have to talk to Mark about that one

@MrMorganfarts Thanks, thanks!!! many thanks!!! so long wanting to know what he exactly said. really grateful Morgan farts. An great nick :)
BTW , I notice he says "He's never payed in Wembley before .. but he's played before" ("you've played before" is a way to reckon someone's ability, Mark and Chet Atkins repeat that to each other in "There'll be some changes made" fr."Neck & Neck" album) so I wonder if really Eric had never played in Wembley or wasit a irony too...Great! THX!

@BrissoParrothead No doubt Clapton is a supreme guitarist but youre right, not a great fit. Clapton seems to turn up in things like this and sometimes he showboats a bit. But great to see him and Knopfler on the same stage!
To be honest I think the first solo from Clapton was too much "blues" and too little "walk of life". He may be a gifted guitar player, he's not entirely right for Dire Straits.
