Ideal for working on larger projects, a typical 'fiberglass layup' is a popular process for those who need a large, strong, and lightweight tool.

  • We do not have a plastic that can be scored and distressed. If you were able to machine your model, you may want to try our RenShape 5020 or 5025 Foam Boards.

  • Great video thank you so much. Can I use 30min epoxy on my fiberglass cloth?

What is the paper that you used so my epoxy does not adhere to the mold?

  • Although it is not shown in this video, some customers have used Kraft Paper.

You could possibly use your 30-Minute Epoxy, but it would depend on the size of your part and the gel time of your epoxy.

If your epoxy starts to set up befor your job is completed, it may be difficult to wet-out the cloth.

  • What would you recommend to make a mold of a 10 inch X 15 inch model of a brick storefrnt building? Its about 1:12 scale.....I need a material that also can be scored and distressed, in order to simulate age on an old bldg..
