I would feel much more safe if they wore gloves because think about it. If they dont wear gloves with your feet then they probably dont use with others. So that means they could have some nastyness that I do not wish to be on my feet. Which is why its a good idea to bring your own stuff to nail salon. I agree with you. The difference will be if you are a licensed professional or not. People love the blame game for a foot infection, if you are not insured... do the mathwork. Careful!

The gloves thing I get. Just needed to point that out before I said this.
Now, When I give my friend's sister a foot massage or paint my girlfriend's nails and whatnot, I don't wear gloves. I asked if they wanted me to once, and they said "That's okay." and sorta waved their hand no. So this was strange seeing a gloved massage.

I understand wearing the gloves for most of the pedicure. But it kind of seems like they'd be uncomfortable during the massage.

Many people forget that AIDS or other things can be caught wile performing these things in the event of clipper accidents or just the customer having an unseen cut or whatever.

Because it's the law. Most salons require their employees to wear gloves while dealing with certain body parts; it's a sanitary thang, you know. Don't wanna be spreading bacteria from one person to the next, right?
