I also played the C16 version. It didn't actually look like this, the background screen was white and the buildings looked red. The programming behind it was pretty simple, the skyscrapers were actually made out of keyboard characters and the memory blocks occupied were converted to blocks of the buildings you see.

My mum was crazy for this game. Really bugged me that she could land the plane. I never did.....
