Complete Tail of the Dragon Deal's Gap WET on a Kawasaki Ninja 650R

Navigated the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee and North Carolina Tuesday afternoon, May 5th on wet road. A group of 17 of us nose to tail went through it. This is part 1 of 3 of the complete dragon. I had to break them up into 3 segments because YouTube has a 10 minute limit per clip. All completed the Dragon unscathed and with great excitement. For the record, I never once went over the yellow line. It appears that way occasionally on the video due to the camera position while leaning into the curves, but the yellow was not crossed.

Beautiful video! I plan to take my 650R to the Dragon as well, so it was nice to see the same tach and speedometer to get an idea of your speed and tach. I ride the same way on twisties in upstate NY like the Hawk's Nest so it's nice to see the Dragon isn't too much different!

Cool. Where exactly is Hawk's Nest? I used to live in upstate NY. Never heard of that?? Too bad...I would have tried it out. Will look it up next time I visit.

yeah the music fucks it up dude. I guess guys'l stop putting music over the sound of the engine. At 6 mins the music cuts off and the last 4 mins are better. just mute this video and it's good. BTW...this old boy misses the hills.

@OnTheOpenRoad Hes right, I live in alcoa just 10 mins away, ride a 07 cbr 1000rr, Last time i was their "labor day weekend" their was 19 cops in 11 miles......A lil overkill is you ask me, I got pulled for doin 45 on a straight away, Talked myself out of the ticket tho, But still.....Just be carefull,

awsome video man, what kind of camera are you using? and for that what kind of mount? I'm planning on hitting up the dragon my self once i get back home from the army, hoping to get some good video of my buddy and i riding up there but regardless of that i just cant wait for the ride.
