NEVER underestimate the Germans. Their technological prowess is proven. Panther and Tiger series tanks? Dominated WWII to the point that every allied armor soldier "thought" he saw a Tiger. Leopard-2? Totally modern tank and whose Krupp gun, BTW, was used in US M1 Abrams tanks. Me-262? First operational jet fighter in history and caused great havoc. Mercedes? BMW? Some of the best cars in the world. German quality is not in question... but they (as no one) can take on the entire world at once

yeah no problem, i thought you should see this cause it's interesting. And by the way they hit him on the side, not the front, so probably the armor is weaker there than at the front. Even though the tank might seem disabled the crew is probably unhurt.

@mlodySC Okay, I went there. A newer type RPG shooting at the frontal plate of an M-1 Abrams.

This doesn't tell me anything...I've read accounts of Tiger Panzers getting hit over a dozen times without being disabled, including tank rounds. All you see is the concussion and smoke, nothing else.

Read the caption to this video that you have supplied me: "Still I dont know if it is powerful enough to penetrate the Chobham Tugsten-steel-Uranium-ceramic armor of the M1."

Yes, I read about that, too. The Ehrenkreuz für Tapferkeit in Gold (Golden Honorary Cross for Bravery) has been awarded to US helicopter crews who rescued wounded german soldiers from an ambush in Afghanistan under enemy fire. The medal is relatively new... it's been given to the troops after a petition to the german parliament to reinstate the Iron Cross.
