Pope Benedict XVI this morning received in an audience the prime minister of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zoran Milanović. These meetings provided a forum for constructive discussion of the challenges which Croatia is currently facing during the current economic crisis, as well as on issues of mutual interest within the framework of bilateral relations. Today's audience coincided with the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Croatia. Finally, the Holy See reiterated its support for Croatia's legitimate aspirations to full European integration, and consideration was given to the regional situation, with particular reference to the situation of Croatians in Bosnia and Herzeg ...
