@nichellh I do believe the song was called; Serious. Dawn Lewis and I were brought in to demo the song. He was gathering material at the time for Ms. Hathaway. We recorded the vocals @AmeriRaycan; Mr. Ray Parker Jr.'s studio in the Valley (Cali). Virgin Records paid us.

OMG! It has been soooool long since I 've seen an African American man with an African American woman that I almost forgot how BEAUTIFUL we are together! Thank you Nichellh for restoring my faith! I was just checking out this cut because Mr. Gary Taylor was the first working artist to hire me for background vocals on a song that he was recording for Ms. LeLa Hathaway! If I had been more confident, I would probably have been the next Ms. Taylor, but I was afraid of his power~what a fool I was!
