Laughing and getting inspired to build some Kalimbas. I just got my first one about a week ago. It's cheap and painful to play but I still love it LOL. I just now scored a Hugh Tracey on eBay, plus I have acquired some spring steel to make my own. The strat styled one really appeals to me.
Anyway, thanks for putting up this vid. I have loved EWF all my life and now I love Kalimba.

The Kalimba is a beautiful instrument.No1 played that thing like maurice white.This was my jam when I was kid.

By irony, the kalimba played by Maurice White on this song - the Hugh Tracey Treble Kalimba - does not appear in the closeup photos - the closest to that kalimba is a photo at 2:25 of the Pakistani-made Mid-East Mfg knockoff of the17 note Treble.

@valreshel Word. My uncle made one years ago and ,as a kid, whenever I went to their house I would play with it for hours on end.
