Thank you, and this is really the most helpful tutorial I've found on the web

You could wear an oven mitt or 'ov glove' on the hand you are using to hold the dread if you are nervous about burning yourself

This may sound stupid, but could I use the steam that comes out of my iron?

Hi! I really like your tutorial, Im going to have a pop at making my own dreads today but Im going to use the boiling water method. Where did you get your steamer from? Im in the UK and looked for steamers and all that came up were kitchen steamers, for veg. Lol. I think I definately have to invest in a steamer (not a veg one)

Omg i met you at AB. I love you. So nice.

there are many irons that also double as steamers

Which method? Tie or braiding?
How do i get nice, big & poofy dreads? Like is there a back combing technique, or sealing the dreads in reverse from the bottom to the top? Thanks.

I recommend the hairdryer sealing method if you want POOFY dreads

Okay. Do u mind explaining that plz? :)

well, back comb as usual, but focus more on the top of the dread, use a hair dryer with a high/hot setting, it has to be REALLY hot to work, spritz the dread with a little water and blow-dry for a couple minutes, the ends won't seal well with his method so try using something else to seal the ends afterward if you want your dreads to last longer.

@xMariePierrex ia Steamer is basically an Iron right? i mean i have no fecking clue wot a steamer is :( im dumb

a steamer is NOT an iron, a steamer is a tool that makes water incredibly hot and uses the steam to clean, or in this case, seal dreads :)
