WJAR 10 in Providence, Rhode Island's Harry Cicma reporting that he is leaving as sports anchor (Saturday, January 9, 2010) at the end of their 11:00 PM (delayed until 11:30 PM due to an NFL game) newscast. Harry announced that he is going to the New York City market to work for independent WRNN-TV 48, Kingston / Poughkeepsie / Newburgh, New York as well as Sports Director for FiOS1, a regional digital network exclusively on the Verizon FiOS New York City system.
Harry was with WJAR for about three years as a sports anchor and producer for "1st and 10" and "The Coach's Show". He previously held weekend sports anchor positions at the CBS affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts and the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. He has also reported and produced for Time Warner TV in New Jersey and for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) in the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD markets.
The Rutgers University graduate got his first start in TV at NBC 10 when he interned for two summers at WJAR and WNBC-TV. He later went on to work as a national production assistant for CBS, ABC and ESPN; and announced the U.S. Open on International TV and Radio in New York City.
Harry is a Providence native and proud graduate of Classical High School; where he was the #1 ranked tennis player in the state, and went on to play for Rutgers' Division 1 NCAA team. The highlight of Cicma's tennis career was when he competed at the Newport Hall of Fame's ATP professional tournament, which earned him a No. 75 world doubles team ranking and No. 1262 on the entry system.

the only city with NBC as channel 10 is Philly. NBC and number 10 go perfect. no other number goes well with nbc. 6abc and 3cbs too.
