Gion matsuri in Kyoto HD

Gion matsuri is one of the most famous festivals in Japan. It has been celebrated for about 1100 years.
Various events take place in the month of July in Kyoto.
"Yoiyama" * On the evening of 16th, Yoiyama is celebrated with 32 lantern-lighted floats stationed at their home places.
"Yama-hoko jyunkou" * On 17th, all the floats parade the streets in procession.
"Sinkousai" * Three portable shurines go out of the Yasaka-jinjya in the evening.
