  • Damn, it's like WWII just ended up in there. Hell, I almost expected dead soldiers and blown-out Panzers. I'm in FULL agreement that this wouldn't be worth buying. Hell, I'd only even CONSIDER it if I got the land, and even then, that would give me pause considering the work required.

So is this something you do as your vocation? How does it normally work (IE, when you're not doing YouTube videos)? Do you get calls from potential investors asking you to check places out regularly?

  • @YukoAsho yeah, when i seen that, it blew me away, and i live here, and yes, i get calls all the time, because investers have been getting stuck with some of these properties, because they had no one on the ground to help them scott this type of stuff out, it was an investor whom sent me out to check out a home over here, and this is what i found, So sad

  • what are the street names of these houses in detroit?

  • @Rippinkitten18 cant remember, but i know its off graiot

  • Don't act so shocked. You know as well as I do that you probably grew up in a similar neighborhood. besides any investor that would purchase sight unseen is a...

  • @jimboski65 sorry, did not grow up around this

  • @leonidas44498 lol, its been a while since I've had a racist commenting on my video's, SO SAD, ,I wonder what news channels you get, last time I looked on world news, blacks, whites, mexicans, chinese, etc are robbing, stealing, and destroying all over the world, but all you see is black, I'm 51 years old and never have been in trouble or in jail, same thing with my four brothers, all college grads and I'm sure probably have a better job than most people, including yourself, Think before u talk

  • @leonidas44498 Detroit is 82% black (US census bureau) so that would mean that 4/5 people committing the crimes could be black and being black still has nothing to do with it. That a racist stereotype and it is not "blacks" that need to be avoided when investing in real estate but POVERTY.

  • Wow that was some video!!! I was actually down in Detroit watching a Red Wings game in Late Dec, 2011. My friend that lives in Clinton twp wouldn't dare take us through these neighborhoods. Driving down the Interstate from Detroit to Clinton twp, was something else as well, half burned houses, apt complexes with broken out windows, etc. The Mayor has to clean that city up big time! I didn't mind the old structures of the bldgs downtown, great history there!!

  • Shea, which streets? Gratiot and what?

  • i swear that 4:15 is the house that eminem +crew burned down in 8 mile LOL jesus christ

  • health hazard

  • you can't renovate rotten houses, luxury flats would be a better option in this area

  • Fucked up city. Tear it down and turn it into a farming community.

  • I'd call the program "Bulldozer Tough Love" but you know the Politically Correct would never allow it... People who own the homes get paid 1.5x the value of their homes + living expenses for 2 years. People who dont own their homes just get living expenses for 2 years and they all get bus tickets to various places around the country, outside of crime & poverty stricken areas... The place then gets bulldozed and re-developed.

  • An unintentional social experiment was created by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans... Thousands were removed from dilapidated, poverty stricken neighborhoods like this one and sprinkled in various areas throughout the country. Separated from the bleak outlook of their home environment and encouraged by the communities that they had transplanted to, untold numbers of these people began to flourish ending in a decision to never go back with statements like "Katrina saved my life"...

  • Eat your veggies and stay in school takes on a volume of new meaning when you see neighborhoods like this... I am from New Orleans and the same video can be made... in various areas... Good work man....

  • Damn, Every single one of those houses where bigger than mine by a long shot but fuck, they make my place seem like heaven.
