He is a great drummer technically speaking. But for what Depeche Mode does, does not require a drummer with his capabilities. In fact, I would say he "overplays" in a lot of songs with no feel at all. I am drummer with 30 years of experience and I am sure that I am in the minority by saying this but I prefer Alan Wilder than this guy simply because Alan played the songs with feel and groove rather than trying to see how many 2 measure 16th double bass note fills he could put in. Just my opinion.

@ergofobico I miss the other drummer.... he had style. This one has a bigger kit and technically represents the original songs well. DM has soul.

Eigner is an excelllent drummer, no doubt...but it doesnt sound like Depeche Mode to me.
