Warcraft III Reign of Chaos Cinematic 7: Eternity's End

The 7th and last movie clip of warcraft. Eternity's End shows what happens after the end of the Night Elf campaign, Twilight of the Gods.

After 10,000 years, The Defiller, Archimonde finally gets to come to Azeroth, and plans to absorb the mystical energies of The Crown of the Heavens. But with the help of the Humans, and the Orcs, the Night Elves were able to delay Archimonde's ascend to the world tree. During this time, the Arch-druid Malfurion Stormrage was able to contact the wisps, the ancestors of the forest to Mt.Hyjal, and waited for Archimonde to arrive.

When Archimonde was about to absorb the energies of Nordrassil, Furion gave the signal. He blew the mighty horn of Cenarius. Then, millions of the Ancestral Spirits swarmed Archimonde. In and instant, Archimonde was completely destroyed. Not even a demigod like Archimonde could stand up to the defenders of nature.

Medivh:"The roots will heal in time, as will the entire world. The sacrfices has been made. Just as the Orcs, Humans and Night Elves discarded their old hatreds and stood united against a common foe, so did nature itself, rise up to banish the shadow forever... As for me, I've came back to ensure that there would be a future, to teach the world that it no longer needed guardians. The hope for future generations has always resided in mortal hands. And now that my task is done, I can take my place, amongst the legends, of the past..."

I'd almost prefer that the Warcraft story ended here... With the mortal races finally putting aside their differences to defeat the greater threat... But I guess things just aren't that simple, are they?

This kinda reminds me of Diablo 2's ending.

A powerful demon (Archimonde/Baal) seeking to corrupt/gain power from an ancient object (World Tree/World Stone) on top of a mountain (Mt. Hyjal/Mt.Arreat), guarded by savage people (Night Elves/Barbarians), with Medivh's guidance the heroes of WC3 unite and defeat Archimonde, and with Tyrael's guidance the hero of Diablo 2 defeats Baal, but in the end the ancient objects are destroyed.

I love the Night Elves!! Favourite race among the 4 :) Unlimited lumber and a whole lot of range characters :D
