Last July I'm made my "Kabul debut" and had an absolutely amazing time, I'm actually planning on heading back to Afghanistan in December of 2010 through February 2011.

Homayun Sakhi and I decided to have a sit down "old school" style with no sound amplification. For those of you who haven't been to Kabul yet ,it is quite warm in the Summer and we had the fan blowing the entire time.

You could say the fan was our accompaniment. Audience was very intimate and members included Ustad Ghulam Sakhi (Homayun's khans father) as well as Mirwais Bhai who is probably the best student's of the late Nasim jon (aka Bhai saheb). Mirwais jon is probably one of the most talented and sweet handed tabla players we have in Afghanistan at the moment.

I hope you enjoy the clip. . .
