Break free from the Barbarians horse (Part 1)

If you attack that small bush next to the big tree, it hits the barbarian king (somehow?, note that on the screen it registers as "hits") you can break free from his horse and you can explore the area where he normally drags you through. I havent been able to kill the B. King yet. And Im still learning the "long jump" to make it to the arena (and hopefully the other side). If it turns out as a "skip", ill upload it.

Since putting this video up, Ive managed to kill the b.k. Without him even touching me. The arena then loads but the area across the bog doesnt load properly. Almost a bk skip :(. Oh well.

How could you discover this trick? doesn't seem so hard ... I'll try as soon as possible

You do it by attacking randomly just as the the cutscene kicks in.

Ive got a better vid where I actually kill the Barbarian in this same area. Then Kratos gets transported to the arena.

I tried this myself and succeeded. Unfortunately my game crashed as I tried to reach the arena where you fight BK.

Makes me wonder if something like this is possible whenever screen fades into darkness before an FMV.

Well... a good reminder is the FMV viewer at Treasures. The most interesting possibilities come from the special events, e.g. "Kratos weakened" after defeating Colossus, Icarus struggle or being crushed between Atlas' fingers.

Sorry Akheon, I accidently pressed "remove" instead of "reply" on your last reply to n3obuddha, when i went to reply to it. What I was goingo to reply to your comment is : "It would be interesting if you could register "hits" on Zeus after being weakened by the colossus, if you use this same technique before the FMV. It certainly opens up some possibilities. Im going to try some experimenting in different areas and upload any results.

Zeus only appears after the second FMV, in which Kratos approaches the sword. The best we could do is to get out of the 'weakened' state somehow.

Have you ever tried regular break-outs? Meaning those things in which you dislocate yourself from an event by switching sub-weapon at a correct time.

Skip the complete cutscene? You're talking about the FMV?
