  • It should be easier to see the heart with a PA view because the heart is right up against the film.

  • you clipped the left hemi diaphram. fail. repeat. ALARA people!!!

  • Actually, a PA view provides better detail of the heart. However, an AP view would provide a large appear heart due to the magnification because of the increased OID (object to image distance.) Therefore, the heart is easier to see in an AP image but with slightly less detail.
