Been to Hangzhou a number of times and will be back next year in February. Truly beautiful place with a mix of modern, old and ancient.. but it never gets too modern. On top of that, it's only an hour and a half from Shanghai making it a place you could possibly live comfortably even if most of your contacts were in Shanghai.
