@777AiR777 It was written by D.L. Byron, and he used it in a demo he did for Arista but they rejected it. Then it was performed by Rachel Sweet and Helen Schneider before Pat got it. Pat rewrote the lyrics, and got sued for it. The rest is history.

Who wrote the song, "Shadows of the Night?" If you listen to the music, it sounds like a Journey tune. Even the lyrics could pass for something written by Journey writers. Any info on that. I'm a musician and I am a great critic of the best music ever. Pat Benatar is a Legend!

@redfishradical I'll agree with you on every singer but Pink. You've clearly never heard her singing live while suspended upside down on a trampoline -- the girl has pipes. She's amazing. She's one of the few singers today who can hold a candle to some of the great singers from the 80s.

Clearly lady gagme, the material whore, brittney, pinky, rhianna & the rest of the plug-in disco hacks have absolutely no shame. If they did, one listen of Pat would send them scurrying back to the dark places they oozed from! Thank God I grew up in the era of strong rock artist women like Pat, the Wilson Sisters, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Kate Bush. Pat's truly stunning, subtle, powerful vocals will live on long after she's started singing for God! Keep the faith. Peace!
