Insanely Powerful 2000mW Blue Laser Destroying Stuff

This is the most powerful laser I have been able to get my hands on, so as any man would, I decided to stick some stuff in the beam and see what happens. At 2W @ 445nm, this laser is a real beast.

I built this laser myself, putting a whopping 2A through the poor little laser diode. It probably won't last long, but it sure is cool while it lasts.

I wore goggles when making this video, and if you ever get a hold of of one of these new 445nm lasers (including the Arctic), you MUST wear goggles or you WILL pay the consequences.

@ThomasLumenis That's pretty cool, I didn't know that, not being as familiar with the Star Wars background as I am with 40k or Eve. So a lightsaber would essentially be a sort of gun, the "projectile" issuing from the hilt or trigger mechanism.

@OleDiaBole Lasers deposit a lot of energy on target. Visible lasers will rapidly burn your retina, blinding you. Invisible (infrared and ultraviolet) will burn your cornea.

Class 2 (visible spectrum, less than 1mW) lasers are considered relatively harmless for short term exposures (less than 0.25s). In general, don't fuck with lasers unless you know precisely the dangers of the fuckery in progress.

PLEASE if someone has some professional knowledge and can explain precisely the danger of not wearing laser safety goggles. And if someone knows what is the strongest laser that is not dangerous for short term exposure of the eyes so i do not have to worry if some kid gets hurt ?
