I didn't know Jed Johnson died in that crash!..what a shame,he did a good job directing this twisted classic!.But the dvd I just got has an awful transfer..this film needs a restoration BAD!...Anchor Bay can you hear me.
Well, I gotta be honest. Usually, I avoid at all costs anything that takes money away from the industry, any kind of bootleg. Because "Bad" is one of my favorites too, I broke my rule and did buy a copy from E-bay and I was very happy with it. I mean, it's not like, say, a Criterion version or whatever, but it's very clear and crisp and there wasn't anything deleted, etc. I'll look up the name of who I bought it from and send you that info.
Bad is one of my favorite movies...hopefully it will receive the recognition it deserves as the years pass. Is there a good dvd release of Bad now? I know there was a poor quality bootleg released a few years ago by one "Cheezy Flicks" outfit (avoid at all costs), however, would love to see a "deluxe" edition!
Jesus, how right you are! I knew that, and can't believe my mistake. I would never intentionally take anything away from Jed Johnson's talent as a filmmaker or model. Guess I just had the ol' adrenaline pumping in response to that "Andy Warhol sucked" comment. I just watch "Bad" a few nights ago on DVD - it's such a great film, yes, directed by Jed Johnson.
Bad was not directed by Morrisey; it was directed by the late Jed Johnson who was killed as a passenger aboard TWA flight 800 that exploded over NY in 1996.
She's a bad ass. I bet she gets out the bath to piss in the sink.

"Andy Warhol sure sucked as a filmmaker, eh?"
As if he were skilled as an artist? Grow up.

1976, actually, if memory serves, but your point is well-taken. Great unsung midnight movie.
