  • I had this fixed over the summer. Found a guy on craigslist that said he knew how to fix it and he came over and resoldered everything and it works good as new now. Only cost $100. Took a video, I'll upload it eventually.

  • @jamesvideos2000 yeah they are known for bad solder joints on the lower connectors on the screen. just have to resolder them. He charged you less then a repair shop would of charged.

  • @Jasonm1976 Yes I know I was very lucky

  • Dry joints on the surface mount resistors located on the connect ribbons at the base of the TV

  • @steveg1958 yes that's what it was, just needed to resolder those

  • i have the exact same problem in my samsung plasma, if you ever get it cheaply fixed please let me know.... good luck!

  • I have the same problem how do I fix it

  • @jamesvideos2000 i have an lg thats only 1 year old and its been written off with a thin blue line down the left side of screen!

  • Looks like a new split screen feature on the tv

  • @pierre722 I have that tv too, did you fix it?

  • I have this same problem on my panasonic viera tcp50g10. I've had it for about 2 years and it just started happening. Really want to know what I can do to fix it "cheap".

  • @jamesvideos2000 Where's the repair video? Thanks!

  • It probably has nothing to do what so ever with your television itself. Is your televsion hooke dup to a cable box? Try hooking up any type of gaming device, DVD player, or VCR to your television (Do not unhook your cable) and see if the screen still has the black line in it. If the line is not showing while you are playing your game than the problem could be the cable box. Call your cable company and they can trouble shoot while you are on the phone with them.

  • At least you've got a split screen good for games like cod xD
