We had our oldest circumcised and it was the worst mistake i've made so far as a parent. He had reattachment complications and bleed pretty bad. Even 5 years later his penis gets red/irritated sometimes. He will complain that it hurts and we have a special cream for him. That does usually make him feel better. We've been told by a few doctors there is nothing they can do now(as his penis will grow so much over time, and i defiantly would not put him under the knife again anyway). I wish i knew then, what i know now. My youngest son is intact and has never had one issue, nor do i expect him to.

I am so glad I am not alone. I circ'd my boys because the info I was given was one-sided and I did not have internet access so I believed what I was given. I was young and tried to do what I thought was best. I now know better, but I wish I had had someone tell me to not circ!

My sons were born in 2002 and 2003. My first sone was circ'd and had problems from the very beginning. I had issue circ'ing my second son but was bullied into it by the hospital.

Very, very, VERY long story short....my eldest has had 2 surgeries for meatal stenosis. A direct result of being circumsized.

I beg anyone who is considering allowing their son to be cut to hear my words. I had to sit and watch my son trying to pee, crying in pain because he had to go but it wouldn't come out. I knelt with him and we cried together...His a physical pain; mine an emotional anguish. I washed his blood stained unnderwear. I held his hand at the urologist. I cried as they wheeled him away from me on TWO seperate occassions to fix what I had allowed to happen to him. He will never be the same. He is not just physically scarred, he is emotional and mentally scarred. His brother (who has thankfully had only minor problems) has also been scarred as he waches his big brother endure this hell. Circumcision affects everybody! Allow our boys to stay WHOLE!!! It is NATURAL!!!!

Foreskin could easily be likened to eyelids. They both have roughly the same purpose -- to protect the sensitive tissue they cover and to keep it moisturized. Remove eyelids from the eyes, the lose this natural protection and natural way to keep them moist. Remove foreskin from glands of a penis and it will lose its natural protection and the ability to stay moisturised.

Human body is highly adaptable so if you remove either, the organ they normally protect adapts by hardening and turning dry, but it will lose a lot of its sensitivity and other abilities. So likening circumcision to removal of any other organ is fair and justified. Claims that it may help prevent certain infections is retarded. It's like saying that by pulling the teeth out of a child to make it toothless for life, you would help prevent a chance of him/her ever developing tooth decay.

There is no conclusive evidence that removal of foreskin may contribute to lesser chance of disease. Every such research resulted in inconclusive results but doctors who make billions performing circumcisions included such words as "might" or "potentially" to make it sound that way. They knew that by saying that circumcision lessens chances of viral transmissions they would be straight up lying and somebody would soon call them up on that, so they said that circumcision "has a potential to lower a chance of transmission".

Every such research that's sponsored by institutions that depend on this procedure in order to maintain their high levels of income will be skewed. Just like when politicians who invested in Aspartame bribed the researchers to make sure their findings say that it's safe for use by humans. Too much money would go under if the truth came out. Marijuana is the same -- give people a chance to grow their cure all medicine in their own backyards and pharma companies lose billions. Of course they won't allow for that to happen.

On the one hand -- as a man -- it makes me kind of furious to read (or hear) people's statements regarding circumcision, and a bit amused on the other. For example, those who claim that circumcision lessens the risk of infections are either rather ignorant or they have, in their childhood, been fed some major BS by some very stupid people. For your own so-called "god's" sake, WASH the penis if you want to avoid infections! Fuck!! How hard can it be?!

And those claims that diminish the foreskin's purpose and value ('it is only a circumcision' etc.) have propably either been circumcised themselves as children or have never masturbated or been with a woman (or man, if one prefers the same sex) in bed, because foreskin adds tremendously to the sensation known as sexual pleasure. Foreskin has many nerve endings, thus being a major component in producing pleasure. Well, at least for me it is, when masturbating and with my girlfriend Of course you wouldn't know how it feels if your own foreskin was taken from you in childhood.

I'm circumcised, my son is not. If he wants to remove part of his penis he can now make that choice himself when he is older. His penis, his choice...

There are good arguments on both sides but I think that it's his decision if he wants it off wen he's 18 by all means let him

There is a reason that you were born with foreskin. If you are religious then you have to ask yourself why God would even put that on a boys body if it is "evil." If you aren't religious then you need to ask yourself why we evolved to have a "dangerous and unclean" patch of skin for our penises. Its been proven that guys have better sex with foreskin - that alone can outweigh the "benefits" of having a .0000001% greater chance of not contracting a STD when you have a circumcised penis.

Whether a boy is cute or just mousy, he deserves the respect of a very basic human right, namely to keep his whole body and to experience all Divine Vibrations from it. A society that thinks otherwise is F*kked. What should anyone, think otherwise, in a bright moment, when awareness comes, that society OWNED the individual?
