I was looking for a video like this...:)
Eric Bana's performance was so underrated in this movie, i think he was absolutely incredible. Im really speechless.
He is playing the most perfect man in this movie, beautiful on the outside as well on the inside, very brave and noble, with no dark motives.
I think any woman would want a man like Hector. Unfortunately a man like him does not exist in the real world. In a movie you always see what they want you to see, you never see what you get

I felt so bad for the death of hector. more than the death of Achilles
perfect ending to an amazing movie Hollywood will not make movie so good like this .
God bless the world

@anciLovesJim Totally agreed. The age of heroes usually seems to be over nowadays…but sometimes there are acts of courage around that make you hope again :)
Thank you for commenting! <3

@irydionlover93 - I've watched this multiple times and could continue to do so. Absolutely breath-taking. Thank you!
Hector is a true hero, not Achilles!

@LNBlack29 Well, if you read Homer, it’s not that simple…it’s just that Achilles is more a product of his culture, he’s the top of its values, while Hector has a more modern sensibility. It’s definitely natural to sympathize with him <3

@irydionlover93 I've read that some scholars consider the possibilty of Hector being the actual hero of Homer's Iliad...

@LNBlack29 gosh, late late reply, sorry about this! ^_^''
That's an interesting idea, he is certainly characterized differently from all the other heroes there...where did you read it? :)

@irydionlover93 I can't really remember right now, it was some time ago... About what you said about Hector having a more modern sensibility, it's not exactly like that. There's a famous scholar who says that there is only one sacred value today: love; and that no man dies for religion or for his country (i'm not talking about terrorists or soldiers here; but about modern values. If you pay close atention to the movies today you'll see that; even in fantasy/epic movies etc)

@LNBlack29 I didn't intend modern as contemporary ^_^ we just said at school that he seemed to fight for motives more typical of the Modern Age, and country is among them :) I think that even if surely today it's rather optimistic that someone could fight for those values only, he is still closer to our sensibility than the other heroes who are all products of the "shame culture" of that age (I don't know if it's called the same in English ^^'''). That's what we said in class at least! ;)
