Hey, it's been a while since I last posted a video clip of one of my guitars. So I thought I'd make a video for my 1945 Harmony Stella Serenader and share with you. I picked this up at a local thrift store, I needed a side of black button tuners a friend of mine was nice enough to send me. It's a great playing and sounding birch blues box.

I'm not much of a player, let alone a blues player, but I figured out this cool sounding lick and it suits this guitar great.

Thanks for listening.

  • I had a stella and the neck and bridge where loose on it.

  • @burntvalve86

the bridge is floating on these, so it shouldn't be glued/pinned down, held down by string tension, unless you have a different model.

  • hows the action on that harmony? hows the neck and bridge on that old harmony?

  • @burntvalve86

I have three Stella's all bought from thrift shops and they all have great action. Necks are fine as are the bridges nice and simple easy to set up. fun nice playing old dolls!

  • Awsome lick and sound..what strings you use on that stella??

  • thanks man!

I think I got Daddario extra lights on there

  • Interesting. My 90 year old Mother in Law has a Stella that she bought sometime during WWII... Can't remember the actual year. Still has the original strings on it. Sitting in her house, loose strings, straight neck, Cool Axe.
