  • I hope this comes back to the N9 (I'm assuming you can get any GTK/Qt application on it, since it still uses X11 and all that).

  • @scionicspectre Hope so, I am still waiting mobile device that can beat N900 and its pressure sensitivity / MyPaint.

  • Awesome!! Is that a capitative screen (touch) or is it pressure sensitive?? On the phone that is.

  • @danielshervheim MyPaint for N900 uses real pressure sensitivity. (resistive touchscreen)

  • @Luovatone is it good quality or does it feel plasticky and unresponsive?

  • @danielshervheim I am using ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD screen protection and I am used to that. It is a bit sticky. Plain N900 screen is plastic and feels like plastic :). Resistive screens are not as responsive as capacitive touch screens but this almost reaches that, so it is good quality. Pressure sensitivity works well with MyPaint.

    1. Pilot Super Grip 0.5 Mechanical Pencil + Wacom Plastic Nib

There is also some other Pilot pen variants what I am using.

    2. It is stylus stick, what comes with N900 :)

And I do not like to work with this not so ergonomic thing.. I like to work with

real pen when I am drawing.

    3. MyPaint costs nothing.. it is free open-source graphics application for digital painters.

MyPaint is just perfect for N900 because of all functions can be mapped to the physical keyboard.

  • @Ubuchy Heips! Yes, there is working "real" pressure sensitivity (works like a mini Wacom Cintiq) with MyPaint and Nokia N900(uses resistive touch screen).

I have now tested Apple iPhone4 and SketchBook and I must say that it is .... hmm... I really wonder why the hell people so much try to like those things.. I really prefer real pen, when I want to draw.

..and Nokia N900 is not so bad as a phone either.

  • @scionicspectre

As Luuvatone pointed out, the resistive screen on the n900 enables pressure sensitive drawings. Its possible to port it to the n9, but the experience would not be the same...

  • Amazing.

  • nice

  • I wish they would develope a portable digital painting device with really good sensitivity that is made specifically for digital artists, something you could just stick software on and treat like you would treat a real sketchbook.

  • Stop biting your fingers! They look terrible!

  • wow
