Thats that same problem I had all you need to do is follow the downgrade process, now you have to use a little commen sence when it comes to doing this as you wont get a screen indicating what stage your up too.. IT WILL WORK. since your already in factory service mode it is unnessary to use the dongle but you can still do this step too keep in order. contact me on skype if you need a walk through the process.. so start from my first vid..

already tried everything.. but there is no good backup.. i have a backup from another ps3.. but the same type of motherboard.. but every chip is unique.. so really a brick i think..

@lordodonut Just keep trying.. When I thought I tried everything. It finally worked took me over 8months of Headaches

because i have rsod i couldnt make a backup.. is it possible to use somebodies backup.. ifso.. could you share youre files with me..

i started with the donwgrade.bin.. and that worked fine.. but nou the dongle doesnt work.. both lights lightup instead of just the red one.. i think this is because the only file on the TF is the downgrade.bin and no other files..

@lordodonut You would be better off doing a downgrade with the E3 Flasher thats how I fixed my Brick. The PS3 in all my vids was once a brick I made trying to downgrade in 3.56.. it started off with RSOD first, then I tried to update to 3.72 then it became a brick wouldnt boot up or anything.. E3 Flasher brought it back to life.. lol

I have a very expensive brick right now.. i have a black screen because i couldnt backup the nor chip.. (because of rsod) now i put another backup on the SD and flashed that.. so so stupid.. but now its bricked.. and there is no backup..!!

If anyone has an idea.. i will test everything..!!

@lordodonut Just try the downgrade process from start to finish correctly. it should work. Just remember you wont get a screen throughout the complete process untill after step2 on the flash stick. Make sure you update the firmware on the E3 Flasher to the latestest one..

so, i had a slim on 3.56 service mode, got e3 flasher, made backup... then went to update it to 4.00 (as the website says), but i ended on rsod. can i restore the backup i created? how should i set the switches? then, how do i downgrade it so i can finally be out of service mode? should i do the downgrade process on 3.56? should i skip restoring the backup and just do the downgrade process under rsod? thanks in advance!
