With peace very much in demand,
Before things got too out of hand,
They proposed the formation of a new sovereign nation,
The U.N. recognized as Kook Land
No sooner 'twas said than was done,
The Leftists arrived every one,
Coffee-house intellectuals, enraged homosexuals,
And Tofu shipped in by the ton
All groups that had whined and had winged, In times past like an old, rusty hinge The ACLU, and NOW was there, too The cream of the lunatic fringe
On a bicycle, no limousine,
The new mayor arrived on the scene,
While some had been hintin' it would be Bill Clinton,
The honor fell to Martin Sheen
On the main street he posted the creed, "Peace and love here are all that we need, We'll all live like slobs without money or jobs, The shackles of corporate greed."
It was clear this had no ill intent,
Still, those claiming to represent,
The Blacks and Hispanics were all in a panic,
To know what each syllable meant.


The first night there was held a great bash,
While amidst all the glitter and flash,
The dirty, the crazy, the hairy, the lazy,
Were digging for food in the trash

There were gang mollycoddlers,
And perverts for toddlers
And those who found prayer obscene
There were activist leaders and more bottom feeders
And the one party left was the Green
There were Aryan skinheads
And pacifist pinheads
And critics of national pride.
Believers in aliens,
And Wiccans and Raeliens,
And some just along for the ride
And watch out for PETA,
If you're a meat eata,
That burns them like nothing else does.
They're screamin' and kickin',
That when you eat chicken,
It's worse than the Holocaust was

Mayor Sheen said, "My dear friends I hope ya,
Enjoy this enlightened Utopia,
No war and no fear will trouble us here
Thanks to our collective Myopia."

Kicking off the show was Chrissie Hynde,
Whose ranting blew everyone's mind ...and
When she spoke, Sheryl Crow., let everyone know,
The dumb were now leading the blind

And up to microphone then,
Stepped that most gracious prince among men,
To give the first lesson in guilt and confessin'
The Charm School headmaster, Sean Penn
He said, "We should all be ashamed,
Of more crimes than could ever be named.
How dare we have health, and freedom and wealth?
For any that don't we're to blame."

Just then the Pope walked in the door,
And he said, "There's no reason for war."
In tones oh-so-strict, he said, "Getting them kicked
Is what the Lord gave us butts for!"

The show wasn't done, nowhere near it.
But the mayor himself didn't hear it.
He'd jetted away to his home by the bay,
But of course he's still with them in spirit
To ensure that the town remained standin' Security could not be abandoned He appointed from thence As his Chief of Defense Brigadier General Susan Sarandon
She announced to the beat of the band,
"I vow to defend our new land.
Because for our defection, we might need protection,
From our nemesis known as THE MAN."
Her tactic was drafted in hours,
Using all of her keen mental powers.
The plan to strike back,
Should there be an attack
Was to pelt the intruders with flowers.
As the revelers partied and danced,
She said "Kook Land is on the advance.
We'll need no assistance
And expect no resistance
In our next goal of annexing France."
The celebration went on until dawn,
Everything that annoyed them was gone.
The'yd felt they were dreaming,
By the twilight's last gleaming
But now a new fear had been spawned.
They had thought that their souls would find rest,
All turned on and tuned in and blessed.
But the town's deadly sin,
They discovered, chagrinned
Was nothing was left to protest............

I found the link to this video posted on a facebook group called "Don't Support Our Troops? Think About This." It's nice to know that some people still have the balls to protest the protesters.
