In 2009, the Indian Government launched a major anti-Maoist offensive
in forest areas Operation Green Hunt. Fact-finding investigations
have uncovered the atrocities security forces are committing in these areas,
but now those very findings are being questioned.

This 10-minute preview contains interviews with victims and
their testimony about what is happening in Chhattisgarh.
The clear intention of the State - to wipe out all resistance
through terror in the name of fighting the Maoists -
is demonstrated in this film.

  • (Comment contd) They targeted their own people. There are other police officers (non-tribal background) who have also participated in this. They should be brought to justice.

Having said that, Arundathi and Mahesh are making a extremely simplistic analysis. Mahesh talks about who should be in steering wheel. Whoever creates wealth should be in steering wheel. Arundathi roy brings in Muslims and try to make a communal claim on it. Let Adivasis get better supporters.

  • The war in the name of Maoist Extremism declared not by the government but by a bunch of leaders for the interests of another moneyed bunch, who want to live alone at the cost of whole others, is nothing but an instance of mediavel feudalism under the mask of democracy. The leaders and rich have taken it for granted that they are the nobility and rest others are just subjects.

  • Freedom and Communism is the only way. 200 years from now, the world will be looking back at each struggle we make today, and thank us for the future we give them. Forever live the revolution.

  • Bhatt ..you are pathetic...!

  • I really feel bad for the adivasis.

    For two reasons

    1. For being tortured by Maoists

    2. For being tortured by Salwa Judum (Govt appointed self help, tribal Police forces

    3. For being made use of by people like Arundadthi roy and Mahesh bhat.

First, What is happening to Adivasis is totally unacceptable. It has to change. Govt is trying to defeat the Maoist, and it made use of local Tribal people and employed them as SPOs.

  • corporate money overflows the coffers of maoists as well as MR.CHidamabaram & his clones ... lots of pieces missing dear gopal .. Hats off to u after all the critisicm .. there are but so few a people who venture out as u do to bring the truth ....

  • Incomplete prespective .. The state the bastard it is & India, the macho male that goes around screwing up peoples lives is quite evident but why are the same indigenous people being used by the maoists who are intellectuals themselves as cannon fodder for their war ... the middle class sympathizers are waiting for the revolution to happen & then take over, once an army that has sprung from absolute despair wins their battle ...
