@fromthesidelines - On the same show he did a recurring character for the "Man In The Street" interview sketch. DK would play a Mr. Morrison, who would always be nervous (Steve would ask him if he were nervous, and he would answer with a very jittery "No!" I'd love to see a clip of Don Knotts doing that sketch.

The Andy Griffith show was nothing once Barney was gone. They should have bought up his contract to continue on the show because I cannot think of another show that fell off so much as did Andy Griffith after Don Knotts was no longer part of it. That says it all!!
